Back in 5 February 2006 the Vodafone Group signed strategic 3G handset partnership with Huawei. Vodafone Group and Huawei Technologies agreement will see the Chinese manufacturer supply exclusive Vodafone-branded consumer 3G handsets for Vodafone across 21 countries for at least 5 years.
The current Vodafone Mobile Connect sales pack includes a Vodafone-branded Novatel Merlin U630. The U630 is a 3G/GPRS data card and at this stage its not known if the E618 is a replacement or another option for users.
